The NFL Super Bowl is one of the most watched sporting events in the world every year, with hundreds of millions of eyeballs tuning in to the big game. In 2021, you’ll be able to watch it all broadcast live on 7mate and ESPN, starting at 10:30am AEDT on Monday, February 8.
So you don’t miss a minute of the action, here’s The Roar‘s guide to watching every minute the Super Bowl in Australia, either live streaming it online or live on TV.
Super Bowl LV will feature Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting last year’s champions the Kansas City Chiefs, the first team to ever play a Super Bowl in their home stadium.
How to watch the Super Bowl live on TVIn great news for Australian fans, the 2021 Super Bowl will once again be available to watch live on both free to air and pay TV.
Channel Seven will be the host broadcasters for free-to-air viewers. In most areas, they will be showing the match on their primary channel, with pre-match coverage starting from 10am (AEDT). Their broadcast is slated to run until 4pm, meaning there will be plenty of post-match analysis for fans to sink their teeth into.
We recommend you check your local listings – especially if you’re in outside the AEDT time zone – to confirm whether the game is on Seven or 7Mate in your area.
You can also watch the game on ESPN (Foxtel channel 509). To do so, you’ll need a valid Foxtel TV subscription. ESPN will also feature half an hour of pre-match coverage, but their post-match will end at 2pm.
Both networks will be broadcasting the feed from the American coverage, hosted by FOX, meaning viewers will get more or less the same package on either channel.
How to live stream the Super Bowl in AustraliaIf streaming is your go, the best way to catch the Super Bowl is with a Kayo Sports subscription. Kayo lets you stream the overwhelming majority of Foxtel’s sporting content for $25 a month – including ESPN and the NFL.

If you’ve never used the service before, you may be eligible for a two-week free trial.
If you’re already subscribed to Foxtel, simply use the Foxtel GO app, which is included as part of your subscription.
Alternatively, you can stream the game for free via Seven’s streaming service 7 Plus.
Your last option is the NFL Gamepass, which is the official streaming service of the NFL. A Super Bowl pass costs $34.99, but does give you additional access to full match replays.
